Arrival in Summer:

From Kurzras (2,011 m), follow trail no. 3 along the old hut path through Oberberg Valley and up the slopes below Steinschlagspitze to the flat area “Stueteben,” then continue moderately uphill over increasingly rocky slopes to the hut (2,842 m); approx. 2:30 hrs.
From the hut, follow the hiking trail or road to the mountain station; about 1.5 hrs, 410 m elevation gain.

With the Schnalstal Glacier Cable Car:
A convenient alternative is the glacier cable car, which overcomes about 1,200 m elevation in just six minutes. – Descent same as ascent. From Kurzras to South Tyrol’s highest mountain station (3,212 m) on the Grawand. From there follow trail no. 3 down to the Bella Vista hut (2,842 m); about 1:30 hrs. (Please check local trail conditions – early summer may still have snow.)
